Mark Zuckerberg, CEO of Meta, recently introduced the highly anticipated Meta Quest 3, the successor to the Meta Quest 2, in a significant product announcement. The Meta Quest 3 aims to bring high-resolution color mixed reality to the mainstream.
With a sleeker design, the Meta Quest 3 boasts a more comfortable and 40% thinner build compared to its predecessor. The headset features improved displays and resolution, offering users sharper visuals and more vibrant colors. Powered by a next-generation Qualcomm chipset, the Quest 3 delivers 2x the graphics performance, making it Meta’s most powerful standalone headset to date.
Expected to hit the market this fall, the Meta Quest 3 will be priced starting at $499, positioning it as an accessible option for consumers interested in exploring mixed and virtual reality. Notably, the Quest 3 will maintain compatibility with the entire Quest 2 library, ensuring that users can seamlessly access their favorite games and experiences. Meta also promises to expand the library with more titles, further enhancing the range of options available to users.
Additional details about the Meta Quest 3 will be unveiled at Meta’s upcoming Connect conference on September 27.
