Spaid, a company specializing in Geospatial AI, has announced it will present two new technologies at CES 2025 in Las Vegas. The company will showcase its CES Innovation Award-winning platform, “AI2RE: Image to 3D Geospatial AI Metaverse,” and demonstrate its “OpenAI-Integrated Geospatial Data Platform.”
The AI2RE platform uses artificial intelligence to extract 2D vector data from aerial imagery, including satellite and drone captures. This data is used to generate 3D models of terrains, buildings, and roads. The technology is designed to address challenges in 3D cadastral mapping, such as data loss and compatibility issues, requiring only aerial imagery. According to Spaid, the system reduces mapping time from six months to five days per person. AI2RE is currently being used in projects associated with the European Union’s Data Governance and Utilization Strategy, with discussions underway to expand its use in South America and Africa.
The OpenAI-Integrated Geospatial Data Platform allows users to visualize and analyze geospatial data through an interface that uses OpenAI technology to provide recommendations for data cards. These cards can be manipulated in a 3D map viewer via drag-and-drop functionality, removing the need for additional tools or software. Spaid has stated that this platform is part of its strategy to create a digital twin metaverse for industrial applications.
