Martha Stewart opens OREO branded metaverse

In celebration of a new limited-edition cookie, The Most OREO OREO, the company has launched a branded metaverse called OREOVERSE inside Meta’s Horizon Worlds. It was opened by tv-chef Martha Stewart. In the virtual world, users can explore, play games and win prizes, with a jackpot of $50.000. “We love to create new opportunities for our fans to connect with each other and share that playful spirit”, says Julia Rosenbloom, senior brand manager of OREO in a statement.

The Most OREO OREO is an OREO cookie filled with a cream with bits of OREO. “A cookie quite literally stuffed with itself is so meta”, according to OREO, that it asked for a branded metaverse to celebrate it. The new virtual world called OREOVERSE is based in Meta’s Horizon Worlds and can be entered using Meta Quest 2 or Meta Quest Pro headsets, or via mobile phones or desktop computers. Fans can also visit the world via OREOVERSE.OREO.com.

Create the most OREO cookie

“We’re so excited to enter the metaverse! OREO is the cookie that begs to be played with and we love to create new opportunities for our fans to connect with each other and share that playful spirit,” said Julia Rosenbloom, Senior Brand Manager, OREO. “The Most OREO OREO cookie gives fans a whole new way to playfully engage with us. By scanning the pack, they will ‘dunk into’ the new OREOVERSE world.”

The OREO branded metaverse is an experience in which fans can play multiple levels of cookie-themed games. By playing these games they can win prizes, including a grand prize of $50.000. Games can the most OREO OREO cookie or inflate a Most OREO OREO cookie and aim for the stars. The metaverse was opened on January 30th by Martha Stewart. She and her gardener Ryan McCallister explored the new world while streaming the inside look.

Before the event, Martha announced: “I am excited to make my metaverse debut in partnership with one of my favorite cookie brands, OREO, and having Ryan there with me will make it all the more fun. The two of us have had our fair share of adventures over the last 10 years and have been able to navigate just about anything together, especially in the garden!”
