Netflix’s most-watched show of all time, Squid Game, is coming to virtual reality, thanks to the collaboration between Netflix and Sandbox VR. The last company delivers location-based virtual experiences. This game will be available on their locations worldwide. Six fans can together experience the horror-series virtually using their virtual reality and motion trackers. As in the series, players eliminate each other during games.

Sandbox VR collaborated with Netflix to bring the virtual reality game based on the most popular series of the streaming service to live. According to the company, they offer a VR experience that trumps other locations or those used at home. You do have to travel to a VR location, however, to experience the new virtual Squid Game. You can bring up to six people in total to play the game and see who will prevail.

Sandbox VR brings people closer together

During an interview with Venture Beat, Sandbox VR CEO Steve Zhao said: “Our mission is to bring people closer together through world-class immersive experiences. What could be a more perfect fit than Squid Game, the most widely shared and discussed television series of the past years. It’s an amazing opportunity to partner with Netflix to provide these fans the chance to transport themselves into the world of the show.”

Currently, six other location-based experiences are available at the Sandbox locations around the world. Squid Game VR will join these experiences in late 2023. The other games include Star Trek, Deadwood Valley, and Pirates of the Caribbean. Find the nearest locations of Sandbox VR here: https://sandboxvr.com/london/
