As part of their insurance and risk management courses, the National Alliance has developed a virtual reality experience. The new addition is an interactive game that is created to deepen learning for students. Even though National Alliance offers more courses within insurance and risk management, this experience is created for the Certified Risk Manager (CRM) Principles of Risk Management Course.
The National Alliance for Insurance Education & Research announces the first phase of virtual reality experiences within their insurance and risk management courses. The organization unveiled the interactive game at their recent Culture & Values conference, which focuses on the organizational value of innovation. Also, attendees could experience the virtual reality game during the event.
National Alliance courses
The game was developed for the Certified Risk Manager (CRM) Principles of Risk Management course. It evolves around the builders’ risk on a construction site and what assets on a site are covered. Therefore, the users can walk through the site and click on cranes, fencing and bricks, for example, to be tested on whether these assets are part of the Builders’ Risk policy. Based on their choices, the learner’s score increases or decreases.
President and CEO Will Hold says about the new VR experience: “After some innovation and imagination, the National Alliance was able to launch and prototype a Virtual Reality experience in our CRM Principles of Risk Management course. We are excited to use technology that allows us to develop more experiential opportunities to deepen learning for our participants.”
More VR elements
The National Alliance plans to expand their practical and technical insurance and risk management courses with more VR elements. It should enhance learning, retention, and participant engagement. Experiential learning is a top priority as the organization strives to give insurance and risk management professionals more engaging professional development opportunities that motivate them while having fun.
